Wouldn't this make a stunning daytime reception dress? Spinning Lace Dress from Anthro. Adorably chic with a rosy little wrist corsage and some dainty white gloves.

Fancy affair or garden picnic? Either way, there's ruffles coming and going! Both from BCBG, both pretty reasonably priced. No one likes a shocking price tag on a Monday, especially me.
Spring has sprung here in New England and I'm itching to get into something cute! If only my wallet were looking a little better I would start with that adorable royal blue number from Anthropologie (it has bicycles on it!). I have a waist again! I could wear that! Yay!
Two Wheeler Shirtdress from Anthropologie.
Soda Fountain Dress from Mod Cloth.
What are friends for Dress from Modcloth.
Endless Chevron dress from Anthropologie.
I love this dress! How cute would this be in white for a honeymoon get-away outfit, or a rehearsal dinner? The collar is my favorite part. Available in a bunch of great colors - making it a no brainer for bridesmaids too! From Amanda Archer.
Just a few of my favorite summer dresses over at Antrhopologie. I WAS going to post about some adorable J.Crew pumps today, but J. Crew has just released their FALL clothes, and after scrolling around on their site looking at cable knit, turtlenecks and overcoats, I'm sad. So, I will save the pumps for another day in favor of very flowy, summery things with no sleeves - so as not to pass on the sadness that comes with sweater sets in July.
The Floating Lotus Dress (top), and the Clustered Petal Dress (bottom).
Have a party to attend this spring? These embroidered dresses are my favorites, especially the watercolor number. If only it were warmer. I love Anthropologie.
*Everyone had such strong opinions about the last dress, I thought I might look for something a little less controversial! Some of your posts definitely made me laugh, I'll never look at "ombre" the same way again! Thanks for the comments!
We're having crappy weather here today, wind, rain, cold... typical New England. I have to confess, I secretly love it. I love the coziness of it all. My favorite thing to do is camp out on the couch with the dog and a blanket and surf. I find the best stuff when the weather is bad!
These are all Vera Wang, and they're all at least 40% off over at Bluefly. The gray one is my favorite, (I think I'd carry a yellow purse). The yellow and the gray together would be adorable on a small bridal party.
"Hot" is how I might describe a Black Halo dress (in a totally chic, couture kind of way). Amazing shapes, gorgeous colors, and so sophisticated! I would love to see a chic winter wedding where the bridesmaids were all in polished Black Halo dresses in different jewel tones. It'd be like a page right out of Vogue!
Cyberoptix Tie Lab on Etsy makes the coolest ties! Their tag line is "Ties that Don't Suck". Here, here! All ties are hand-screened onto silk ties by artist Bethany Shorb in Detroit. Perfect for your hip fiance (who normally hates ties).
I had one of those really frustrating days where nothing went my way and everything was three times harder than it needed to be. In the midst of the rottenness, Deirdre pointed me in the direction of Bluefly and these gorgeous dresses. I can't believe I never thought to look there before! My favorites were these short dresses, perfect for cutting a rug at the reception. My day always brightens a little I find something fun to share. Thanks DD!
Maybe it's because I've been working a lot on the graphic elements for Kenzie Kate's 2009 collection, but I'm a little obsessed with these graphic dresses from Anthropologie. I LOVE the sweater dress with the swans on it. Please, someone snag that and wear it to your rehearsal, your bridal shower, your wedding brunch, it's too perfect.
There's nothing like a party dress to cheer up a Monday morning! I love the idea of a swishy, muted floral print on the 'maids at a garden wedding. These dresses from BCBG fit the bill perfectly, available at Nordstrom's.
Sitting directly in front of the fan in my 120 degree livingroom, I feel as thought I will never be able to wear pants again. It's too hot. I will have to wear dresses for the rest of all time. I will start with this one by Foley + Corrina.
The bubble hem is one of those things that doesn't make sense on paper, but is magic in real life. I love the full skirt in combo with the empire waist! The green would be sublime for a rehearsal or a bridesmaid's dress. I found both at this little gem of an online clothing shop, Scarpe, during my online weekend exploits (trying to escape the brutal heat). If you're in the Northeast today, think cool thoughts! We're going to need them.
They aren't beaded or bowed or even embroidered, but they have amazing little details that make them unforgettable. I'm thinking bridal shower, bachelorette, or brunch. Mmmmm. Brunch. Karta and Hera, respectively.
I have a "thing" for patterns. If truth be told, I would be-deck myself in several different patterns day and night, top to bottom were it not socially unacceptable. While wearing several at once can be... tricky, wearing one really great one is totally fine, not to mention highly recommended. I stumbled on these dresses from Milly over at Revolve Clothing and thought they might satisfy any pattern cravings you might have. Bridal Shower? Bachelorette? Rehearsal Dinner? Sure!
You know what makes this dress SO very awesome (besides the fact that it's utterly perfect for your bachelorette party, or your rehearsal dinner, or cutting a rug at your reception)? What makes it so awesome is the fact that it USED to be $388, but it's now only $190. That 50% discount really puts it over the edge. Check it out over at Blue Fly.
Can someone with seriously beautiful skin (or someone who has bridesmaids with really beautiful skin) adopt a cheery yellow, white and black color scheme and take advantage of the kicky printed sheaths from Nicole Miller this season? Please? And send me pictures? Awesome. I will be waiting by the computer.
This is the perfect party dress in my opinion. Perfect for a bachelorette party, perfect for a rehearsal dinner, perfect for dancing the night away. Love the stripes, love the silhouette, love the sassy-see-thru quality. Love it all. If I only had the perfect party to attend. I wonder if maybe I should have a party? Would you come? All the way to Rhode Island?
I'm guessing that most people are enjoying their day off. I'm working a bit, trying to catch up on loose ends. I thought I would post about these gorgeous silk wrap dresses from Calypso. They come in so many amazing colors and wrap in a variety of ways (although this style is my favorite). I thought they could be a wearable/versatile bridesmaid's dress, while still having that really lush, silk look. They'd also be perfect for a rehearsal dinner dress, or a bridal shower. I love, love the coral color. Something about that color, I keep wanting to paint everything in the new house this color. I must... hold... back.
