Cyberoptix Tie Lab on Etsy makes the coolest ties! Their tag line is "Ties that Don't Suck". Here, here! All ties are hand-screened onto silk ties by artist Bethany Shorb in Detroit. Perfect for your hip fiance (who normally hates ties).

My boyfriend is an elementary school teacher and likes to wear fun ties to school. I just found this etsy store about a month ago while searching for a tie for him as a gift. I purchased the octopus one and gotta say, the quality is amazing. You'll love them. I also have my eye on one of their designs for our future wedding as well!
Oh man, my guy totally needs the meat grinder tie.
We're ordering their skeleton key ties in sage with gold ink for our men. We're so excited!

Man, those ties rock! I'm normally not into wearing ties, but I'd totally wear any of those.
We used her ties for our wedding. The groomsmen (and even the bridesmaids) loved them. She does great work and is willing to customize ink colors as well. Here is a picture of the ties here:
