I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm looking forward to a busy week of designing, gardening, and traveling. To start off, I thought I'd share these adorable purses I found over at Nelle. These would be the perfect gift for a very lucky group of bridesmaids!

little cake people

Custom pipe-cleaner people cake toppers. Love them. All from The Small Object.

a delicate balance

These are very Louis XIV meets Tinkerbell, Gilded meets Woodland, Glamorous meets Earthy... Not an easy combo to pull off, but one that I very much enjoy. Check Into the Looking Glass for more!

new crew

New from the Crew. Love the fabric on this dress!

fine feathery finds

I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I did yard work, planted flowers, hung curtains, and cleaned house. Sounds boring, I know, but there's something to be said for chores. You feel great when they're done!
These are my new favorites from Portobello, one of my favorite hair accessory shops on Etsy. I have a few weddings to go to in June, and since my choices for wardrobe are kind of limited, I've been looking for something interesting for my hair. While I think these might be too fancy for me (as a guest), they'd be perfect for any bride looking to add a little color into her ensemble.

woven wonders

Brittany emailed me today to give me the heads up on this gorgeous crocheted jewelry from Israeli designer Galit Barak. The way the wires are woven together to cradle beautiful stones is amazing, although I can't for the life of me figure out how she does it. Galit is offering free international shipping all this weekend if you purchase more than one of her gorgeous pieces. Yes please!

itali lambertini

This amazing jewelry reminds me of a trip thru the Roman Antiquities wing at the Met (one of my absolute favorite wings, but the way). I love the rings especially, and think they'd be just perfect for an engagement ring. "Timeless" would be the perfect adjective, don't you think? Itali Lambertini will also create custom rings, if you're looking for some other type of stone.

guestbooks? guestbooks!

I don't know why this is, but I don't think I've ever posted about guestbooks in all 772 posts I've written on this blog. Huh! These caught my eye because of the gorgeous patterns and affordable prices. They can also be customized to fit your event, size preference and pattern choice. I guess there's a first time for everything! Check out Enji Beck for the deets.

posie posts

Adorable little floral studs from one of my favorite jewelers! Prismera makes some of my favorite botanic inspired jewelry, and what's more lovable than something you already like, made tiny? Wouldn't these be the perfect gift for the little flower girl in your life? Purchase two pairs of these little posies, and get a free gift necklace. Sweet!

it gets chilly at night...

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We were lucky enough to have some company - our ex-neighbors from Park Slope came out to see us. We had a great time talking about weddings (hers) and babies (mine). Dierdre is getting married next month, and is looking for something to wear over her shoulders, should it turn cold at night during her outdoor reception. I thought these were adorable, maybe you're looking for something similar? Both from Holly Stadler.

Too cute for words! The traditional outfits really put these over the top. From YuYu Art, custom orders available.

fun for my feet

I really do love patterned pumps. Something about that unexpected dash of fun down by my tootsies, I just can't resist. These from J. Crew.

my favorite combo

So pretty! These would have amazing impact with a simple dress, and (for Anthropologie), they're super affordable. Pretty and affordable? Gotta love that.

token links

My husband and I fell in love exploring New York on the subway; we took the A train to the opera on our first date, took the F train home to our first apartment together, and the D to our favorite museum. I know loads of other people who fell in love on the very same trains, and on similar ones in cities all over the country. These subway token cuff links would be an adorable way to incorporate your history as a couple into your groom's ensemble. They'd make a great gift, I think. All from Valdo, on Etsy.

tight knits

A little out of season, but here's my rational: If you're a fall bride you're probably looking for a shrug, a sweater or sleeves for your trip to the chapel, your outdoor pics, your reception get away... right about now. You might be frustrated that the only things on the racks are sleeveless and summery. Wahlaa! These are perfect! All from Tickled Pink, who incidentally, happily accents custom color requests. Love the cape.

It's stuff like this that leaves me in awe of all the creativity out there. The world is full of inspired people, and doesn't that just make you happy? The golden tie necklace is on my drool list (that sounds like a bad list, but it's actually made up of very good things). All from Eninaj.

I hate to blow my own horn, but... Toot! Toot! I love InStyle Weddings, so it's a huge honor and a thrill for me to be featured on their website, and as one of "the country's best stationers" no less! It makes me a very happy lady to be included in such fine company on one of my favorite wedding resources. My day is made!

just like butta

I'm normally a sucker for intricate details, but the elegance and simplicity of these gowns is undeniably appealing. All from Alix and Kelly. I bet they would feel as luxurious as they look, like wearing a dress made of cream!

sweet tweet

I'm tackling the mess that is my office today, hoping to make order from chaos. I'm sorry to say that I've neglected my space in the hustle and bustle of wedding season, and it is now officially out of hand. Time to tidy!
While I'm doing that, check out these sweet little bird cake toppers from Red Light Studio. Owls are also available and they're just as cute!
