I love the idea of a jewelry box as a gift on a special occassion. From a mother to a daughter on her wedding day, groom to the bride... I just love jewelry boxes in general. Something about keeping all my favorite little baubles in the same place, all organized and sorted, I love that. I also really love it when my jewelry box gets out of order, and I have to take everything out... and put it all back in after polishing it. I shudder with glee. Viva Terra for a nice selection.

Do you want to come work on mine? It's in need of a major overhaul! But, reorganizing mine will be no fun task because I'm afraid I have way too much stuff I'm trying to cram into way to small of a space and no organization god could make it work without buying a bigger or more jewelry boxes. Unfortunate...but true. Anyway, I loooove the tree in the right corner. I'm tempted...if I just had somewhere to put it!
The boxes in the upper right hand corner are my favorites. They look like they could be full-sized dressers.
I recommend antique stores or yard sales if your box is too small and you don't want to spend a lot. That's how I found mine - it's nicer than the one my mother has, and she got hers brand new!
Now, those are my favorite gifts also.

you are too funny! I have a jewelry tree that I adore, and because it displays all of my pieces in one convenient spot, I find myself remembering to wear them more often!

So fun! I collect wooden cigar boxes and have these stacked all over my dresser to store my jewelry, but a tree would be a nice addition!
thanks for the post - i just inherited a bunch of jewelry from my grandmother and have NO organization or home for any of it...now off to shop!
I love jewelry boxes, I keep them in my bedroom and bathroom so that whenever I take jewelry off, I put it somewhere. And it's great to have a tree for when you're really in a hurry or for things you wear all the time! I also keep the extra buttons and thread that come with clothes, safety pins, etc. in them. But they are a great gift, good call!

I just got the Viva Terra catalog in the mail and I was loving the jewelry trees. I am also a sucker for a good jewelry box. Anthropologie usually has some beautiful velvet and beaded options around the holidays, but the top right looks so practical and beautiful at the same time!
I must say I loved the boxes in the corner as well . . . but when I got them in the mail they were not very well made and I sent it back!
All I can say is that you should be in a newspaper. You should most definitely be recognized for your work. Its not every day that I get to see art like yours. Go ahead, produce your stuff because I guarantee you that you will be noticed amongst millions of other viewers! Go ahead, take advantage of your talent, you got it!
