Can someone please bring back the mantilla comb? They're all over ebay, and I'm desperate to start wearing mine. Who's with me? (BTW, mine's not QUITE that big)
I have a couple I've snagged from my grandmama as well as some I've been collecting over the years. I break them out ever so often, and a few are ridiculously huge [but still amazingly gorgeous]. I'd say just go for it! Don't wait on anyone else.
Since I live in NYC, I can pull it off--- but carefully.... Otherwise it looks too costume-y. Here's how I do it:
I have super curly red/brown hair to my shoulders, and I wear it by pulling (a little over) half of my hair up and to the side, Similar to a side pony tail, twist it and stick the pin in--- poof! Instant drama with a spanish/1920's feel.

{Ooh, and thank you for the lovely words}
I really like the sleek yet orante look of these. I'll have to hunt around on ebay & see if I find anything.
